The Cellars at Royal Farms
A working fruit farm and market with a tasting room attached, on US-31 in Ellsworth at the south end of the region. Cider flights, wine and fresh bakery, plus a corn maze, hayrides and a greenhouse, which makes it the one stop on the trail that will hold kids for an hour.

- Fisherman's Island State Park, 5.5 miles straight line. Miles of undeveloped Lake Michigan shoreline south of Charlevoix and the region's serious Petoskey stone beach. Wild, quiet, and worth the gravel road in.
- Ironton Ferry, 9.2 miles straight line. A cable ferry that has been crossing the narrows of Lake Charlevoix since 1876 and carries four cars at a time. It is a shortcut and an attraction at once.
- Downtown Charlevoix, 9.5 miles straight line. Bridge Street between the drawbridge and Round Lake, plus the Earl Young mushroom houses a few blocks off it.
