Why does the best viewpoint change?
A rainbow forms opposite the sun. As the sun moves through the sky, the favorable viewing geometry moves too. Wind also changes where the strongest mist plume sits.
Should I trust the ranking more than the live camera?
Use both. The model is a forecast; the cameras are a real-world check for direct sunlight and visible mist immediately before you move to a viewpoint.
