U.S. River Levels, Flow & Forecasts

See what the nearest river is doing now, whether it is unusual for this date, and whether NOAA has an official flood forecast for the same gauge.

“High” and “low” are historical, not recreational

For the closest gauges, current discharge is compared with approved USGS daily percentiles for this calendar date. “High for this date” means hydrologically unusual compared with the gauge record. It does not mean runnable, fishable, wadable, or safe.

NOAA forecast appears only on a real match

The tool matches a USGS site number to NOAA’s National Water Prediction Service. If the IDs match, official flood categories, impacts and a forecast crest can appear. If they do not, the card stays honestly observation-only.
