Gaslight District, 0.4 miles straight line. Downtown Petoskey: brick storefronts, bookshops, a long block of restaurants, and Beards and Elder Piper both within a few minutes' walk.
City Park Grill, 0.5 miles straight line. The bar on East Lake Street where Hemingway reportedly worked up notes for the short stories. It is still a restaurant, and it is the most direct Hemingway stop in Petoskey itself.
Palette Bistro, 0.6 miles straight line. Two storeys on Bay Street with the bay in front of it, Mediterranean, and twenty years in. The reliable sit-down dinner at the end of a tasting day in town.
