- Bay View, 3.2 miles straight line. A National Historic Landmark Chautauqua community of Victorian cottages above the bay, right next door to Petoskey. Drive it slowly or walk it.
- Petoskey State Park, 3.2 miles straight line. The classic Petoskey stone beach on Little Traverse Bay, with a dune trail behind it. Best hunting is right at the waterline after a blow.
- Little Traverse Wheelway, 3.6 miles straight line. A paved shoreline trail running the bay between Charlevoix, Petoskey and Harbor Springs. The Petoskey to Bay View stretch is the one to walk if you only have an hour.
