A 22-acre estate on Atkins Road east of town with a 60-foot hilltop observation patio and heated covered seating, so it works when the air turns. Marquette and Frontenac Blanc off the estate, wood-fired pizza and a coffee bar alongside.

- Little Traverse Wheelway, 2.6 miles straight line. A paved shoreline trail running the bay between Charlevoix, Petoskey and Harbor Springs. The Petoskey to Bay View stretch is the one to walk if you only have an hour.
- Petoskey State Park, 2.6 miles straight line. The classic Petoskey stone beach on Little Traverse Bay, with a dune trail behind it. Best hunting is right at the waterline after a blow.
